Actor Anil Kapoor who had featured in the earlier instalments of Race is all set for Race 3. The film features Salman Khan, Daisy Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem. Directed by Remo Dsouza, Race 3 is scheduled to release on June 15.
In an interview with Cinespeaks, Anil Kapoor speaks about the film.
Q: The trailer of Race 3 is packed with full of action. Does your character have enough action sequences in the film?
Anil: Race 3 is an action entertainer. Yes, there are plenty of action sequences with music too. But, the action of the film is on a higher scale.
Q: You are sporting a salt and pepper look in the film. Why is it so?
Anil: It is real. I think the generation today has changed and the youth likes something which is real and genuine. Artificial and manufactured looks aren’t that interesting enough. The youth and the tennagers has a different taste. So, manufactured looks won’t let convincing enough. It has to be real.
Q: You are a part of all the 3 franchise of Race. Do you think the audience will come in to watch your character in the film?
Anil: Race 3 is totally different. It has a different story. The audience would come in to watch Salman Khan primarily and then the rest of us. Everyone knows this and we should accept that. Salman is a star actor.
Q: The previous instalments of Race 3 were directed by Abbas Mustan. How was the experience of working with director Remo Dsouza for Race 3?
Anil: It was good. When someone brings a change, it is always welcomed. Both the filmmakers are unique in their ways and have a different approach to ards direction. It was great working with Remo Dsouza.
Q: How did you find Saqib Saleem as an actor in the film?
Anil: Saqib is good looking with a great body. I was amazed by his acting skills. He acts well and we had good time while shooting for the film.
Q: What next after Race 3?
Anil: Post Race 3, Fanne Khan is scheduled to release this year. Total Dhamaal and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will follow up after that.
