In an interview with Cinespeaks, Bobby Deol speaks to us…
Q: You were missing from the silver screen for quite some time. How did Race 3 happen?
Bobby: I got a call from Salman and I agreed for Race 3. The energy on the sets of Race 3 was phenomenal. In the past few years, I haven’t had much films and it was a different phase. Today, when I see actors like Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor, it gives me a lot if positivity and motivates me to do better. Anil has such a wonderful energy. Salman is so unaffected by his stardom and is continuing to work. So, all these people have now inspired me to push myself harder.
Q: How was it to work in Race 3?
Bobby: Race 3 is an action entertainer with plenty of action. It was great working with Salman Khan and the rest of the starcast. I had an ear infection and vertigo during the shooting of the film. Every member from the team took good care of me and checked my health. So, we all were like a happy family on the sets of Race 3.
Q: How was the experience of working with Salman Khan?
Bobby: It was amazing. Salman is like an angel of my life.
Q: Would you like to do a Soldier 2 ?
Bobby: Yes, I would love to do it. It will be a great idea. Soldier is a special film for me.
Q: Is it difficult to work with people who you know personally?
Bobby: Yes, It is extremely difficult. When I was shooting for Dillagi (1999), I had to do a scene where I was drunk. My brother (Sunny Deol) pointed out that I wasn’t doing it well. He knew me personally. So, he wanted to push me more harder for the scene. So, it really is much difficult to work with those who are closer.
