Bucket List is actress Madhuri Dixit Nene’s debut film in the Marathi Movie Industry. After entertaining millions of people through her wonderful performances, Madhuri’s Kong standing wish of starring in a Marathi movie has finally come true and Bucket List has released in the theatres. An interesting fact of Bucket List is that the film reunites the pair of Madhuri and Renuka Shahane who had last worked together in the 1994 Blockbuster Hit Film Hum Aapke Hai Koun. Directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, Bucket List also stars actor Summer Raghavan in a pivotal role.

Story: Bucket List is a simple and heartwarming story of a Pune based homemaker Madhura Sane (Madhuri Dixit) who undergoes a heart transplant surgery. The organ donor of Madhura is a young teenage girl (Sai) who meets with a tragic accident. As Madhura now leads a new life, she decides to fulfill the Bucket List of the young tennager. The rest of the story follows Madhura’s journey in fulfilling the Bucket List and finds a meaningful purpose to her life. She explores on a voyage of Self Discovery and does all kinds of different things.


Madhuri Dixit as Madhura Sane is absolutely amazing and brilliant in the film. She is the lifeline of the story and Madhuri’s charm and expressive emotions are on point. She makes you believe in her character and draws you closer to her with each passing scene. Her dedication to live a new life tugs your heartstrings and Madhuri is effortless in the film.
Vandana Gupte as Madhura’s mother-in-law is strict and dominating. Her scenes with Madhuri feel genuine and real.

Renuka Shahane in a important role is as usual amazing and has played her part very well. She has done justice to her role.

Sumit Raghavan as a supportive husband Mohan has delivered a very nuianced performance.

Ranbir Kapoor’s cameo is icing on the cake as he lights up the screen with Madhuri Dixit in a party scene. The duo look together amazing and should definitely do a full fledged film together.

Music and Dialogues: The film has some amazing tracks such as Hou Jau Dya are placed properly in the narrative. The dialogues too are well written and Madhuri expresses them with honest emotions. The background score too gels with the scenes of the film.

Direction: Director Tejas Vijay Deoskar idea of making this film deserves a salute. The film is a simple story and has been executed in a very honest way. The treatment of the scenes and the emotions are purely genuine and heartwarming. The film has a consistent pacing which doesn’t let you feel bored. The climax too is amazing although it is a bit preachy which could have been avoided. The story and screenplay has been written well and the execution of the same is cleverly done. Madhuri’s looks great while riding a bike and getting drunk in the bar.

Cinespeaks Verdict: Bucket List is surely a must visit to one and all. The film will be best enjoyed in the company of your friends and family. It is one of those films with a good storyline and has a positive take away from the film. The film delivers it’s message beautifully and also entertains well with some amazing performances. Madhuri Dixit fans should definitely not miss on this as her charm and beauty will make you feel really good. Cinespeaks gives a rating of 3.5 stars.
