Shahid Kapoor has had kind of a mixed bag in 2018. While his initial release of ‘Padmavaat’ alongside Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone did amazing well, his next with Yami Gautam titled, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ didn’t fare well at the box office at all.
Even in ‘Padmavaat’, Shahid’s role as Rana Ratan Singh was limited as the film mainly centered around the menace and fear evoked by Alauddin Khilji, aka. Ranveer Singh. But Shahid Kapoor did a brilliant job within the limitation that he had.
And now, the actor is currently busy gearing up for promotions of his next, ‘Kabir Singh’ alongside the gorgeous, Kiara Advani. A lot is expected from this movie and especially after seeing Shahid in the trailer because the movie is an official remake of the south original, ‘Arjun Reddy’. Both ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ are helmed by the same director though.
During the promotions, Shahid made an appearance at Neha Dhupia’s talk show where he was asked about a film each which he regretted doing and a film which he regretted not doing.
To talk on the film he regretted doing, Shahid was open enough to admit and say that ‘Shandaar’ is one film which he still remains confused as to why he did it.
On the other hand, to talk on the film which he regretted not doing was the Aamir Khan starrer, ‘Rang De Basanti’. He added that he was offered the role of Siddharth in the movie and he regrets not doing it.
Well, all we can say is let go of the past Shahid! What’s gone is gone and cannot be changed really! We at CineSpeaks wish you and the team of ‘Kabir Singh’ best wishes for the success.
