If you have watched National Award winning movies like ‘I Am Kalam’ and ‘Shor In The City’, you couldn’t have missed Pitobash Tripathy in them. The actor has been enthralling us with his power packed performances for quite a while now, latest being in ‘Begum Jaan’.

Riding high on the appreciation the film and his character have been getting , Pitobash is in a happy place right now. Speaking of the same, he says, “It feels really good when you get such recognition in such a special film. I have been personally tracking audience’s reactions on the film by visiting theatres and it is a very fulfilling feeling.”

On his experience of working on ‘Begum Jaan’, Pitobash says, “It was very challenging as an actor but at the same time it was enjoyable too. To see the kind of impact my scenes are having on people, it feels great.”

He reminisces the hardships that the entire team of the film went through during the making of it. “I had my back burnt during one of the shots in the film as the weather conditions were extreme. But, as an actor, it is your duty to convey the emotion of a scene no matter how unfavourable the conditions are. And that’s what I did,” the actor added.

Even though ‘Begam Jaan’ is the remake of a Bengali film ‘Rajkahini’, Pitobash didn’t watch the original one as he wanted to spring some freshness in to his character. “It was only Vidya who had watched the Bengali version and rightly so as she plays the titular role. Rest of us built our characters on our own,” says Pitobash.

Well, we certainly await more special performances from your Sir!
