In an interview with Cinespeaks, Freddy Daruwala speaks to us.
Q: How is Race 3 different than the earlier instalments of Race?
Freddy: Race 3 is an altogether different story than the earlier two films. The only actor which has been retained in the film is Anil Kapoor. It is a good story with a new starcast. The film is packed with plenty of action sequences and expensive cars.
Q: How did you come on board for this film?
Freddy: Casting director Mukesh Chhabra approached me with the character of Race 3. I went and met Ramesh Taurani and read the script of the film. I was wanting to work with Ramesh Taurani since a long time and the opportunity was right because the film is mounted on a huge scale. So, it was a win-win situation for me.
Q: What is your thought process when a film is offered to you?
Freddy: I am very much concerned about the content of the film. Also, the presentation of the film does matter. So, I think about my character and the script.
Q: What do you think Salman Khan has got on board as an actor?
Freddy: He has got everything. He has brought in a lot of commercial viability and exposure for the film. He and Ramesh Taurani have been on the same page and that is why Race 3 has come up so beautifully. In fact, Race 3 is much more famous before the release than the earlier instalments of Race.
Q: What next after Race 3?
Freddy: My Telugu film had released this year in February. I am in talks for a lot of digital projects in the current scenario. Digital environment is easily accessible for everyone and I am trying to make an impact through it. I am putting all my efforts to become a household name.
