Indian cinema is constantly undergoing changes. Presently, the content of Indian films is being headlined by screenplay writers bringing tight-knit plots, taboo subjects and hard-hitting journeys to the big screen. One such writer to disrupt the content scene is Kanika Dhillon. Known for her expertise in the entertainment business, the acclaimed writer will be partaking in a panel at India Film Project 2019, a platform that aims at discovering content creators.
Being a frontrunner of premium content in the country, Kanika has been invited to the panel to discuss stories that appeal to the country. The ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ will be in conversation with renowned filmmaker, Abhishek Chaubey, Chief Operating Officer at Viacom 18 Pictures, Ajit Andhare, Co-Founder of Yuva, Nikhil Taneja and Sumit Arora. To be held on the 13th of October, the discourse will be about changing trends of the Indian film industry.
Says Kanika, “I’m very excited about interacting with the leading creative minds in India. As a writer, I’m moving from one project to another and it hardly leaves me any time to hit pause and think in retrospect. This panel by IFP gives me the chance to reflect on the ongoing trends and examine my approach to the creative processes of writing. It’s an honour to be invited at such a prestigious platform.”
