Ananya Panday, another star kid and glamorous face debuted in Bollywood industry this year. Her first film Student of the Year 2 released in summer 2019 and just after six month she is back on screen with Pati Patni aur Woh along with Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. She is again playing a glamorous role but this time it is quite different as she plays a role of “Woh”. The film is coming to theatres on 6th December 2019 and people are very excited about it, but before that Ananya Panday interacted with the media and opened up some interesting facts.
As we all know the original classic Pati Patni Aur Woh is one of the most watched film and has Ananya Panday watched it? When asked about, will the recreation be different or not Ananya replied, “Yes i did. I watched it twice actually long back with my Mom, my granny loves Sanjeev Kumar so i watched it and i found it very funny. I thought it will be very interesting to make this kind of film today because love triangle never goes out of fashion. Then i watched it once again when i read the script of Pati Patni Aur Woh because i wanted to see how different it was and it’s completely different from the original.
While recreating a classic film there is always a pressure of Comparison and Ananya Panday had quick answer for it. “Actually when you watch the film people will not find a point of comparison to be honest because it was like almost 35 years ago. And i feel i am already prepared because of Student Of The Year 2 anyways there was comparison. I realised that comparison is not a bad thing, it just sets a benchmark that you have to live with”, she answered.
Web shows are attracting audience and celebrities now days and Ananya Panday is loving this change as she said, “I think it’s amazing because audience is evolving so much, they are so gravy for the content. I am really proud of mainstream actors in our country that they are moving to the digital space and not shying away. It’s opening so many opportunities for new actors, you know there’s so much talent in our country and it is not only limited to films now. Even on TikTok people are showing their talent which is amazing.” Adding about her favourite web shows she said, “I loved Sacred Games. I loved Made In Heaven as well.”
And about offers she got she opened up, “If i have to work in web shows then that would be something like Made In Heaven. I was offered some short films but it didn’t work out because i didn’t have proper time to time to do it, but i would love to do web shows.”
