The viewers will witness a huge clash this weekend as two of the biggest films who have already created lots of buzz are making their way towards the release. Shraddha Kapoor starer Stree and one of the most appreciated family comedy series, Yamla Pagla Deewana. Talking about Yamla Pagla Deewana series, it is going to be the third installment of the series, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phirr Se. We recently tried interacting with Sunny Deol, who has been a vital part of previous two installments of the series.
In the interaction, Sunny shared his heart out regarding YMD, he expressed, “It’s great to be back on YMD series. I enjoy working with my dad and beloved brother. I get to learn so many experiences from my dad. It’s fun shooting with them. I know that the second part of the film was not upto the mark but we’re still back with the third. So far film has received positive views and I hope that goes on. This is a completely different story, we’re trying to bind two communities i.e Punjab and Gujarat. Apart from that, the story is different. Me and Bobby are playing the role of brothers on-screen as well. Dad has got a different role to enact. So it’ll be a great film I believe unlike the previous one.
When asked him about his views on working on a comedy films he says, “I’m an actor and my work is to entertain my audience. Even if I’m good at action films, I need to do comedy film. Basically I need to do film which my viewers would like.”
When asked him about his liking towards action films, and his image being trapped as an action packed actor, he says, “Maybe people see me and like me in an action film is maybe because none else can fit in that image. No matter if I do comedy or romance, people will remember me as an action-packed hero. So maybe I’ve created that image in the vision of viewers. So again I’d like to mention that we’re Actors and we are supposed to do every kind of roles irrespective of our likes and dislikes. I’m also trying to do the same thing. At the end of the the characterization is what which bothers.”
When asked him whether Box-office numbers bothers him he says, “Well it doesn’t bother me in terms of collections or how many crores a film has made. For me the thing which bothers the most is opinions of viewers. Because it had happened numerous times that a film does great in terms of box-office collections, but collapses when it comes down to ratings and public opinions.
When asked him about taping on any negative roles and his experience working with Salman Khan for one particular song, Sunny said, “I’m keen to do anything which has a good and sensible story line up. I was keen to work on a grey role but I won’t produce it. It was great working with Salman Khan. It was a very short phase though. For the same song we’ve Shatrugan Sinha sir on board. He’s my fathers mate, we had a great time shooting with them as well.”
We got a really surprising response when we asked about his last hindi movie he watched, with huge giggles he said, “I don’t remember which was the last hindi film I watched. I don’t watch hindi films at all. Moreover I prefer English films or Hollywood films. I loved Ant-man and the Wasp. It was so humourous that I literally hold my stomach and laughed out louder. So I haven’t watched any hindi movie in the recent times, I’ve watched many Hollywood movies and series because they inspire me to face challenges.” That was pretty surprising that the Bollywood actor hasn’t watched any films in the recent past.
Overall it was a fun interaction with Sunny Deol. The film is going to hit the theaters in less than 24 hours and we wish All the Best to both the films.
