One of Bollywood’s Hot and Gorgeous actress Vaani Kapoor is all set to flaunt her glamorous looks in upcoming Action Flick “WAR” starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. After Shuddh Desi Romance and Befikre, Vaani is coming back to silver screen and her fans are excited to see her in this mega event film after 3 years gap. Few weeks before the film hits the screens Vaani opened her heart out in an Interview and one should not miss it…
Q. 2 heroes are occupying centre stage so do you think this is your Rangeela where Urmila shined between 2 heroes?
Vaani– It’s totally a different story. I never thought like that. It’s different presentation all together. There is a graft to the character that i am portraying and it’s nicely linked to the storyline. Even though its driven by 2 Megastars and it’s an action film there is a lot of story that everybody will discover.
Q. How do you feel Being a beauty queen and you are the centre of the attraction in the film?
Vaani– I won’t be the centre of the attraction. These 2 (Hrithik and Tiger) would be having attention. These 2 are phenomenal when it comes to the acting, looks, action sequences, dancing everything. It’s just amazing that i am getting a chance to work with co-actors like these.
Q. Have you done action in the film?
Vaani– I can’t talk about that unfortunately. I love watching action films like Charlie’s Angels, Naked Weapon and many more. There are so many action films and i love superhero films also. In hindi Akshay Kumar, Hrithik, Tiger Shroff are so good at action films.
Q. How nervous were you while dancing with Hrithik?
Vaani– I was very nervous, honestly. I delusionally think i could dance as good as good him. While doing that one groomy step he was like, don’t scream, be calm, have fun and i was having fun, cut to when i saw it on screen he is not having fun, he’s doing it right and i am the one who is having fun. Jokes apart, but It was fun. It was lot of fun.
Q. Would you say it is an unofficial Dhoom film and you’re a Dhoom girl?
Vaani– Really? It’s not a Dhoom film, its a Cool Film. I think Sid (Sidharth Anand) makes all cool films.
Q. After Shuddh Desi and Befikre you’re coming back after 3 years so why did it took so long? Were you too choosy?
Vaani– I got scripts but there was something which i didn’t like. Because i think it has to be few, but has to be quality films than quantity. I was like choosy. It’s not like i am a Megastar and i will have insane amount of scripts to choose. Things came and they were wonderful but something dragged and i was like let me wait for something better to come.
Q. You have worked with different directors so how was your experience?
Vaani– Sid (Siddharth Anand) is the coolest, supercool. Adi (Aditya Chopra) is someone i respect, he’s also very cool and chill n all. Adi is also more rooted, he is grounded.
Q. After your performance in Shuddh Desi Romance and Befikre, share us the best fan moment which you faced?
Vaani– Lot of people say about my dancing, and it’s funny because i never taken dancing course in my life. I also would like to be known for my acting skills. A lot of people like Anushka, Ranveer Deepika, Atthiya Shetty, Aditya Roy Kapur came and told me that You were wonderful in Befikre. But i remember right after Shuddh Desi Romance a cute little girl came crying and said, i am big fan of you.
Q. Are you considering Non YRF Films?
Vaani– Yes. There are scripts. I am reading them, i am seeing and evaluating. There are so many people i want to work with.
Q. Befikre didn’t do well at the box office. How did you deal with it?
Vaani– One thing you learn from this — and every actor knows it — you cannot take anything seriously. There will be hits and misses, you can’t take it to heart. Of course, you feel bad when something doesn’t do as well as you expected it to, but it’s a part of being in films. You cannot be loved always, you cannot expect every film of yours to do a certain way, but I feel proud of the work I have done and projects I have been part of.
Q. What kind of films do you want to be a part of?
Vaani– Some amazing films are being made these days and there is an emergence of women-driven characters. I loved NH 10, Piku and Raazi. In AndhaDhun, Tabu was brilliant. I would like to be a part of such movies.
Q. How do you look at the competition as so many girls are coming in Bollywood?
Vaani– There will always be new entrants in the industry. They are so good and everybody is putting in a lot of effort. I don’t think about who is doing what, but give my 100 per cent to whatever is coming to me. I do my best and nurture it instead of worrying about what project did and did not come to me. It’s nice that there are so many creative people are coming.
Q. How did you get War? How many auditions you gave?
Vaani– No actually. I was fully prepared. In YRF you get films via audition unless you are Ranveer Singh and Anushka, who have proven their talent enough. For me every film I had to audition. I was fully prepared that director Siddharth Anand was going to audition me. I think Adi had asked him also to audition and be sure. Then Sid met me and I got selected.
