Jackky Bhagnani recently received the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival 2018 in the Best Actor category for his short film ‘Carbon which was out last year.
The short film stood out for its futuristic approach and for also raising awareness about the growing rate of pollution. Set in a dystopian 2067 world, ‘Carbon’ tackles the issues of environmental pollution and increasing carbon footprint.
The actor couldn’t be in the capital state to receive the honour, but he shared his excitement on instagram with a heartfelt post.
I feel so proud and honoured to receive the #DadaSahebPhalkeAward for my first short film #Carbon! It started as a passion project and look where we’ve reached, team #Carbon! This award is really special to me and my team and it feels great to see a socially relevant film get the recognition it deserves.
