Q: How has been your journey over the years?
Karan: My journey has been extremely amazing since I started out from television. It has been a satisfactory experience for me. My association with Television shows like Gumraah and Roadies left a positive impression on the young audience. So, I am really happy and proud with the kind of work I have done over the years.
Q: Tell us something about your character from your upcoming film 1921?
Karan: I play a character called Ayush in the film. He is a small town boy from the 1920’s who lands up an opportunity to learn piano and make a living out of it in London. The film is an unbelievable magical love story against the backdrop of supernatural theme.
Q: What made you take up this film?
Karan: The script of the film is the king. It is an amazing script. My last film Mubarakan grew exceptionally well because of the positive word of mouth publicity. Similarly, I hope 1921 too will do well because the script is very well written. In fact, the film is a totally horror story and does not belong to the genre of horex (Horror-Sex). So, I really believe that the film will have good word of mouth publicity.
Q: How was the experience of working with Zarine Khan?
Karan: Zarine is a very sweet girl. She is very honest and I really enjoyed working with her.
Q: How was the experience of working with director Vikram Bhatt?
Karan: Vikram sir is amazing. I really feel fortunate that I got an opportunity to work with him. He has a very good understanding of a film like this. I learnt a lot from him while working on this film.
Q: What are your upcoming projects?
Karan: I am working on a project which is very close to my heart. It is about our Indian mythological stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is for the kids and will be made in such a way which shall appeal to our kids.
