Kaushlesh Purohit, also known as Garry is an Audio Engineer/Hand Percussionist, based in Los Angeles. Currently he is working at Shangri-La studios, which is owned by Rick Rubin. Rick Rubin is a multi Grammy award winning legendary producer. He has produced acts like Jay-Z, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Lady GAGA. He is also also currently work at Groove Master Studio, Which is owned by Jackson Browne.
Jackson is a legendary American singer/song writer. Kaushlesh graduated in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Growing up in Jodhpur, a city in Rajasthan, he was exposed to a wide variety of music ranging from Indian classical to modern day jazz and hip-hop. Kaushlesh moved to Boston in 2013 to study at Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Music Production and Engineering. Sharing the stage with award-winning artists such as A.R. Rahman, Shankar Mahadevan, Jacob Collier and Bernard Purdy has graced him.

He has worked on other acts like Trandcention, Louis Apollon and Fluorocent collective. After graduating from Berklee with Cum Laude, Kaushlesh have worked on his way to becoming an in-demand recording engineer and performer; working with globally renowned artists from U.S. and across the world.
Kaushlesh was a Hand Percussionist and later the Mix Engineer for ‘A.R. Rahman Meets Berklee concert’ held in 2014 in Boston. So far his work has garnered collectively 16 million views on youtube.
He auditioned in Mumbai. Could not afford to learn western music theory. Went in for the audition with just Tabla and music samples. Got accepted.
Kaushlesh Meeting with Annette Philip – Annette Philip is a vocal instructor at Berklee and the director of Berklee Indian Ensemble. Kaushlesh joined in as hand Percussionist and later on became the go to audio engineer for the ensemble.
