Former Chairman, Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and “Mahabharat” fame actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan, who is remembered for his role as “Yudhishthira” in the epic serial, recently called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh and discussed wide range of issues related to art, culture and national concern.
Actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan also has shared a detailed list of his contribution as Chairman of FTII. The actor told that during his tenure in the Institute, there was remarkable improvement in the academic atmosphere and the environment in the Campus. He also added even the CAG Report indicating that the institute had shown remarkable improvement for the better.
Actor Gajendra Singh Chauhan added further in this conversation with minister that during his brief tenure at FTII, he had introduced new syllabus, which was pending for the last 15 years. He also introduced “Walk-in Interviews” to fill up the vacancies in the faculty. In addition, he said, digitization of film making was done and two old studios in the campus were repaired and renovated with new equipment.
Gajendra Chauhan also shared his views on current political and social scenario in the country. He was full of praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for having introduced a new era of transformation of India in the last four years.The actor said with full confidence and determination that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will shine in 2019 with historical victory.
Dr Jitendra Singh appreciated the multifarious work being done by Gajendra Chauhan. He asked him to keep in touch in future as well, to offer his inputs and views on different subjects.
