STAR Plus’s new show, Lip Sing Battle is an Indian adaptation of the successful international show – Lip Sync Battle – bringing together a host of A-list celebrities including not only Bollywood superstars but also popular television actors and luminaries from the world of sports apart from others. Each episode of the show features two celebrities coming face-to-face as they are pitted against each other in a competition of winning the viewer’s hearts by their madness quotient and their ability of lip-syncing on superhit songs!
A recent episode saw actress Raveena Tandon lip sync on the song “My name is Lakhan” and get into the ‘Anil Kapoor’ avatar during her performance. Shocked with who had just taken an entry on stage, the audiences and the crew members thought of her being a clone of Anil Kapoor who was brought to the show for the performance.
A source revealed, “It was only after the performance began that we realized that it was Raveena Tandon dressed up as Anil Kapoor on the stage. She was on fleek with her makeup and costume and nobody could recognize her. She had a moustache glued to her face and an outfit with lots of hair glued to it. The resemblance was very uncanny! ” She was competing with Ayushmann Khurrana who did not recognize her either and was surprised to see her in the avatar.
After her performance, Farah appreciated her for her outstanding imitation of the ‘Ram Lakhan’ actor, Anil Kapoor. Raveena then revealed herself and changed into her original costume to come in front of the audiences again.
