The star-studded Indian Film Festival of Melbourne has created a buzz with the different plethora of events and our Bollywood stars talking to the media on different occasions and topics. In a similar press conference where the new heartthrob of Bollywood Fawad Khan and our dearest Rishi Kapoor were present one of the journalists put forth a question to Fawad asking “What Pakistan can learn from the Indian Cinema?” Fawad had a very generous answer to this as he praised the Indian Cinema and its contribution to the world and how people look up to the Indian film makers. Further, he added the variety of films that are offered and how each one is different from the other. He recalled and spoke the time when Pakistani cinema had to shut down as it couldn’t produce good movies but again in the recent times it has come up with some good work and still working on it to be better.
As we all know Rishi Kapoor has always been a person with great knowledge and also known for his words of wisdom and that’s the very reason his tweets and comments are everywhere in the media. On this particular question contributing to Fawad’s answer, he added and revealed something which has never been spoken about and left people amazed in the hall. He spoke about how he was offered a role in the sequel of a famous Pakistani comedy “Jawani Phir Nai Ani”, directed by Nadeem Baig to which he didn’t refuse but gave him suggestions on how Pakistani films can do better in India. He was of the view that if Indian movies can work wonders and achieve fame in Pakistan then Pakistani movies too can have the similar impact on the Indian audience. He said, “Rather than casting Indian actors in Pakistani movies it would be a good idea to have a good and strong story which makes an impact on the Indian cinema.” This piece of advice given by him received applauds and praises and which is why we now know why his tweets or comments are much spoken about. It was again a rare scenario where the neighboring countries have such exchange of ideas and always have a welcoming nature towards each other. Well, We hope to see some Pakistani blockbusters hit out silver screens soon.
