The film has Salman Khan as the lead hero along with actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem.
Directed by Remo Dsouza, Race 3 is ready to release on June 15.
In an interview with Cinespeaks, Salman Khan speaks to us.
Q: Tell us something about the action quotient of the film?
Salman: Action quotient of Race 3 is very high. Tom Struthers has directed the action sequences for the film. He is an expert at his craft and well known for his international films too. The action is very real and we had blown a lot of cars during the shooting of the film. Daisy and Jacqueline too have action sequences and they underwent intensive training for the same.
Q: It is said that multiple climaxes have been shot for Race 3 and no one knows the suspense factor. Is it true?
Salman: It is a simple film (laughs…). Race 3 is full of twists and turns and plenty of action. It is an entertaining film which can be watched by everyone including kids. It is an action and musical bonanza kind of film.
Q: Race 3 is one of the Hindi films which will have a release in Pakistan after a very long time. What is your opinion on this?
Salman: Yes, It is good. I am really happy about it.
Q: Do you think that films like Race 3 will be the only saviour for Hindi Cinema?
Salman: We need to increase the number of theatres in our country. We only have close to around 5000 screens. In China, the numbers are much higher and so in Hollywood. So, we need to have more theatres and then we will be in par with Hollywood films.
Q: You have backed a lot of multi starrer films as a producer. Will you produce a heroine oriented film?
Salman: It all depends on the script and the casting of the film.
Q: Do you enjoy film promotions?
Salman: I don’t enjoy them much. For Race 3, we have cut down the budget for promotions by 1.5 to 2 crores. We are promoting the film within the sanctioned budget.
Q: Would you like if a biopic is made on you? What are your thoughts on filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s trailer of Sanju?
Salman: I would not like any biopic or autobiography on my life. I have seen the trailer of Sanju. Rajkumar Hirani is a very sensible filmmaker and I am sure he must have made a good film.
Q: What next after Race 3?
Salman: I will start shooting for Dabbang 3 and Bharat simultaneously very soon. Kick 2 is also in the pipeline. We are in the scripting process of Sher Khan.
