Uri: The Surgical Strike has made its way not only in the hearts of every Indian citizen but also in box office. Having Vicky Kaushal as the protagonists, the film has crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office in just 10 days. This is one of the top movies to ace the race in such a short period. As of today, the film has earned 109 crores and this happiness and excitement was shared by the stars on social media.
Uri, which hit the silver screens on January 11, is based on the 2016 Indian Army’s surgical strikes in Pakistan following the attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri town. The film minted Rs. 8.20 crore on the first day itself, of its release.

The film is written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and also features Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Rajit Kapur, Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulhari in essential roles.
Uri is the biggest solo hit of Vicky’s career. Vicky’s film has without a doubt bypassed the Khan’s films of last year like Thugs of Hindostan, Zero and Sultan and we have a new superstar emerging in Bollywood. Earlier last year, he was seen in films like Raazi with Alia Bhatt and also in Sanju with Ranbir Kapoor, both the movies did well business at the box office. However, Vicky had supporting roles in both of them. He also starred with Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. But Uri is definitely an important stepping stone of his career!
