Actor Manjot Singh who is best known for his role in the 2008 Dibakar Banerjee directorial Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! which won him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor is all set to feature in an upcoming comedy Fukrey Returns. The film features Manjot along with actors Richa Chadda, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Fukrey Returns is scheduled to release on December 8.
While interacting with Cinespeaks during the promotional campaigns of the film, Manjot told us how choosy he is when it comes to selecting the scripts which are offered to him. Manjot said, “I am very much choosy about the projects I do. I am very particular too with my characters. At the same time, I don’t feel the greed to do each and every film which is offered to me. I sometimes get confused also. So, when a script is offered to me, I make two chits (Yes and No) and pray to Waheguru so as to arrive at a decision. Whichever chit comes up, I go ahead with it.”
The actor also spoke as to how people’s perception has changed towards him since he became an actor. Manjot said, “People’s approach and perception has changed a lot. Earlier it was okay when I didn’t used to attend any family function or a dinner at a relative’s place. But, now it has become extremely important because if I don’t attend, then they keep calling me and keep insisting for my presence.”
Well, that is an interesting way to choose a film. Post Fukrey Returns, Manjot will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Web Series titled Made in Heaven.
