Tiger Zinda Hai Review: A fully packed Entertaining Film to end your year with a bang!

The final film of 2017 is Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai. The film is a sequel to the 2012 Blockbuster hit Ek Tha Tiger which was directed by Kabir Khan. The film reunites the pair of one of the most celebrated and loved on-screen couple – Katrina and Salman. The duo were last seen together in Ek Tha Tiger and are back again with Tiger Zinda Hai. The film is surrounded by a very strong buzz as the trailer and songs have taken the internet by storm. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who had last directed Salman in 2016 Blockbuster Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai has finally hit the screens today and Bhai Fans are already rejoicing. Let us review the film now.

Story: We take off from where we left in Ek Tha Tiger. Tiger (Salman Khan) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif) are now happily married in Austria wherein they both work for RAW and ISI respectively. One fine day, a bus full of nurses is hijacked in Iraq and are held hostages by Abu Isman, Head of ISC in Iraq. In order to save the nurses, Shenoy (Girish Karnad), head of RAW appoints Tiger for the rescue mission. The rest of the story is all about Tiger’s high octane action sequences and how he eventually rescues them.


Salman Khan as Tiger is thunderous and roaring here in full glory. He is really a man of substance and has nailed his character to perfection. Salman shares a sizzling chemistry with Katrina Kaif and also performs action stunts with ease and perfection. Bhai is absolutely Dhamakedaar here and his energy levels is all high throughout the film. The scene where Tiger fights with the wolves is brilliantly captured and Salman doesn’t hit a single false note.

Katrina Kaif as Zoya does her job very well in the allotted screen time. Her action sequences are powerful and her expressions too are on point. It would be safe to say that Katrina’s performance is worth counting in the list of her best performances. She is bombastic and her efforts to deliver an applaudable performance is clearly visible.

Angad Bedi as the bomb defuser also makes an impression. Kumud Mishra and Girish Karnad also play their parts very well. Sajjad Delafrooz as the villainous Abu Isman is also good in the film. Anant Vidhaat also delivers a good performance.

Debutant Paresh Pahuja as the RAW agent has brilliantly executed his act. He has surely impressed with his acting chops. With his amazing talent, Paresh definitely has a long way to go in future.

Paresh Rawal is a surprise element in the film which can be best discovered in theatres only.

Music and Dialogues: Music of the film is already a hit. Dil Diyan Gallan which is sung by the melodious Atif Aslam is soulfully rich. Swag se Swagat is thunderous and the dance moves of Katrina are absolutely awesome. The background score is perfectly in sync with the action sequences and it elevates the movie watching experience.

Direction: Director Ali Abbas Zafar has made an extravagant grand action film which is free from glitches. He makes wise use of Salman’s star power and portrays him perfectly. The film is visually appealing with interesting characters. The screenplay is carefully written and nothing seems forced or stretched in the film. Every character is neatly presented in the story and the storytelling never goes haywire. It keeps your attention intact and entertains you thoroughly well. Ali has taken the franchise ahead of Ek Tha Tiger and has delivered more than what was expected of him. Full marks for his detailing, script and direction. The film also addresses a positive and subtle message of patriotism instead of being preachy and loud. Production Design and Cinematography department also excel in their work. The film has a Hollywood kind of action and an international feel as the high octane action sequences are brilliant and meticulously captured.

Overall, Tiger Zinda Hai is definitely worth watching for everyone. For the Bhai Fans, it is full of celebration and power packed entertainment. Salman and Katrina’s on-screen chemistry is sizzling and the action is absolutely amazing. The runtime of the film is slightly long, but Salman’s Swag and Katrina’s commendable action make up for it with their blazing performances. Thankfully, 2017 will end on a high note as Tiger Zinda Hai will surely get Earth Shattering numbers at the Box-Office.
