India being the largest democratic country in the whole world, it is quite natural that the elections in a country like this is no less than a festival. So what do you expect when it’s the Maha Lok Sabha Elections which happens only once in a period of 5 years and is pretty much the deciding parameter as to what’s in store for our country for the next 5 years?
It’s bigger than even the biggest. This is the time when you see politicians and political parties battling it out loud & hard to fight for every vote(pretty much like how the common man has to fight for every penny after the vote is done).
So the usage and implementation of pr tools and celebrities to attract youth and countrymen towards a certain political party is no hidden truth. Some do it directly by directling roping in celebs to campaign for them while some do it indirectly and sweetly while keeping the agenda of overall growth in hand.
And as far as the latter is concerned, we believe we have pretty much seen an instance of it when we saw PM Narendra Modi take onto twitter to request Bollywood personalities, Madhur Bhandarkar, Vivek Agnihotri & Rajkummar Rao something. Here’s what the PM expects from them. –
Dear @imbhandarkar, @vivekagnihotri and @RajkummarRao,
Your work in the cinema industry has touched upon interesting and innovative themes. Your words and actions matter.
I request you to increase voter awareness and motivate youth to vote in large numbers. #VoteKar
The tweet has gone viral on social media which has made everyone to talk on it.
To the tweet, Madhur Bhandarkar reacted –
Dear @narendramodi ji, thank you for your kind words. Your commitment towards building new Indian is truly inspiring.I assure you to do my duty and encourage people to register and vote during the upcoming elections.#VoteKar 🇮🇳 🙏 https://t.co/anK7Hd4UgG
Vivek Agnihotri too humbly responded to the PM saying –
Dear hon’ble @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji, I’ll do my best to inspire every Indian to participate in this festival of democracy.
I am working closely with the first time voters all across India and their enthusiasm convinces me that we are on the right path to build a #NewIndia https://t.co/pwfwLVWyJv
Rajkummar too went ahead to keep the PM’s request and tweeted –
India is the largest democracy in the world and voting is one of the most important powers we have as a democracy. Let’s make sure that all of us vote in this upcoming 2019 elections because every vote matters. https://t.co/hs6ZRSImzC
Well we hope in general that the youth of today takes charge to build a better tomorrow for the country.
